A Literacy & Technology Unit of Work
Stage 2
This outcomes based unit on Foxes utilises two texts and requires teachers and students to analyse and evaluate visual imagery and descriptive language.
The unit should be presented as shared readings with an emphasis on systematic and explicit teaching.
Technology is used to enhance student’s understandings, skills and knowledge of the use of visual images, layout and specific language features of the texts.
This unit supports teachers to deliver a balanced literacy program which shows the connection amongst the three strands of the English K-6 Syllabus.
