CREATE YOUR OWN TIMELINE ::
Time passes very quickly sometimes and it is hard to keep track of what is happening.

What has been happening with regard to our environment?

Can you find a common theme and put events connected with this theme on a time line constructed using the drawing tools available in MS Word?

Maybe you could do an internet search and find earlier articles about your topic and add those datesand items to your timeline.

CHALLENGE ::
You have been invited to go on a time machine and you are going back into Australia’s past.

Find any 10 important events that happened in Australia’s past and put them on a timeline. They must be accurately placed on the timeline and remember to show your scale.

PUZZLE TIME ::
Stuart’s watch loses two minutes every hour.
Adam’s watch gains one minute every hour.
They both set their watches from the radio at 6:00 a.m. then start their journeys to the airport.
When they arrive (at the same time) their watches are 12 minutes apart.
At what time (the real time) did they arrive at the airport?

The man who designed the clock is Victor Cusack.

Michael Bell is from a group of people called “The Friends of the Fountain”.

Both of these people have lots of information they can give you about the clock.

You can email them and ask lots of questions about the Hornsby Water Clock.
