Accessing your Address Book

  1. You can access the address book by:
    1. Clicking the address book icon on the toolbar

    1. Clicking the Tools Menu and selecting Address Book

    1. Clicking the To… or Cc…button on a message/calendar item

    1. Pressing Ctrl+Shift+B
  1. You can start typing the Surname of the user to narrow your search. If you want to add the first name you will need to add a comma after the surname then start the first name. eg Surname, Firstname. You can then click the To -> or Cc -> button to add them to an email message. Click Ok to return to the message window

 

Set Up Your Contacts List

  1. Open Outlook and click on Tools on the menu bar
  2. Select E-mail Accounts.


3. Select Add New Directory or Address Book - Click Next

4. Select Additional Address Books - Click next

5. Select Outlook Address Book - Click Next

6. You will be asked to close Outlook. When you re-open it your Contacts List will be visible in the Address Book

 

Selecting Addresses from Personal Contacts

Accessing personal contacts stored in your contact list is possible by selecting Contacts from the drop down list.

Searching the Address Book

You can search the address book, by selecting Find from the Advanced button at the bottom of the screen. This will then open the find window.

The easiset way to locate people using the Find window is to type their Surname into the Last Name box

TASK:

1. Use the Address Book to find the Address for the HSEAO Staff Distribution list.

hint: Open the address book and type
@DET-Hornsb
... you will see a group of email lists for Hornsby SEA - send the group a message
